The Devanga community in the United States experienced a spiritually transformative moment in September 2025 as His Holiness Jagadguru Sri Sri Dayanandapuri Swamiji, Peetadhipathi of Gayatripeetha, Neelamangala, Karnataka, undertook a multi‑city spiritual tour across America. Organized by the USA Devanga Community, this convention united families, disciples, and community leaders for a powerful series of events across Texas, New Jersey, and Washington, D.C.
Texas: A Warm Beginning Filled With Devotion
Swamiji’s U.S. journey began in Dallas, Texas, where he was welcomed with deep reverence and joy. More than 50 families participated in the Texas events, making it a vibrant start to the convention.
- Pooja ceremonies were held on September 13–14.
- From September 15–18, Swamiji visited numerous homes, blessing families and offering spiritual guidance.
- These house visits became the highlight of the Texas leg, creating unforgettable memories for every family involved.
Texas set a beautiful tone for the rest of the tour with its warmth, devotion, and unity.
New Jersey: A Grand Gathering on September 19–20
The largest celebration of the convention unfolded in New Jersey, where Swamiji was present from September 19 to September 20.
More than 100 families attended the grand New Jersey event, making it the biggest gathering of the entire USA tour.
- A heartfelt meet & greet welcomed Swamiji on September 19.
- A powerful pooja ceremony on September 20 brought together families from across the East Coast.
- Cultural programs, devotional singing, and community networking added vibrance to the event.
A Special Mention: Mr. Arun Gangadhar Varode’s Inspiring Leadership
A highlight of this year’s convention was the presence of Mr. Arun Gangadhar Varode, President of the All India Devanga Association.
Mr. Varode accompanied Swamiji throughout the USA trip, offering leadership, guidance, and encouragement to Devanga families across all three states. His role was deeply appreciated by the community.
His contributions were pivotal:
- He inaugurated the USA Devanga Community gatherings, symbolizing unity between Devangas in India and the diaspora.
- He addressed families, emphasizing cultural preservation, community growth, and global collaboration.
- His presence strengthened the significance of Swamiji’s visit, making the convention not just spiritual but also organizationally historic.
The community expressed heartfelt gratitude for his dedication and the time he invested in connecting with Devanga members across the United States.
On September 21, Swamiji and Mr. Varode traveled to Washington, D.C., marking the beginning of the final leg of the U.S. visit.
Washington, D.C.: Intimate Satsang and Personal Blessings (Sept 21–23)
Swamiji’s presence in Washington, D.C. from September 21 to September 23 offered a serene and intimate spiritual experience.
- More than 15 families participated in the D.C. events.
- Swamiji conducted satsang, sharing deep spiritual insights and guiding devotees.
- House visits allowed families to receive personal blessings in a peaceful setting.
On September 23, Swamiji concluded his U.S. journey and departed back to India, leaving behind a trail of blessings, inspiration, and renewed devotion.
A Convention That United Devangas Worldwide
The 2025 USA Devanga Convention was more than a series of events — it was a spiritual movement that strengthened cultural identity, deepened devotion, and united Devangas across continents.
Distinguished guests from India, including leaders from the All India Weavers Welfare Association and All India Devanga Association, added significance to the convention. Sponsors such as DSAANA, Devanga World USA, DOSS IT Company, Texas Devangas, and others played a vital role in supporting the event.
